I've found this to be reliable.
It works well for a light-use home printer. The photo prints aren't the most amazingly clear, but it is a cheap and cheerful home printer, not an expensive laser.
I've had it work well with Windows XP, Linux and now Mac OSX with now surprises.
The nicest feature that I've been surprised with is that you don't actually need to turn it on via the power button. In OSX I've found I can just send something to print and it turns on by itself! And off too!
I'd recommend it to anyone, as long as excellent color images aren't needed.

What's good: Clear text. Alright color images. Cheap!

We have had this printer for a few years and it has never given any trouble.
