Dyson DC07 Animal vacuum
I used one of these that had actually been in use for a while before, so you could argue that it was a more fair test than the usual, where a 'virgin' model would get tested.

The dust container was about a third full and it was a model that has been in use for over a year.

As Dyson keeps on trumpeting, their vacuums don't use bags and so don't lose suction. Well, the suction on this one wasn't up to much... I used it for a while and tried deliberately to pick up visible pieces of stuff on the floor, but often had to try several times in order to successfully pick them up.

I found it a little heavy and unwieldy, and it didn't do too well on the edges and corners.

I wasn't as impressed with this as with the DC19.

What's good: No bags to buy. Fair suction.
What's bad: No auto cable rewind. A bit too costly for the performance
Is it any good? Verdict: y
